HASBRO POISED TO RE-LAUNCH HEROQUEST IN EUROPE
Hasbro Announces Future Plans to Bring the Popular Role-Playing Game to Market in the Region
PAWTUCKET, RI – Nov 15, 2021 – Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ:HAS) announced today it is set to re-launch the HeroQuest brand in Europe. The return of HeroQuest, an epic, high-fantasy, role-playing board game made in 1989 where the fate of the world is in the players’ hand, was officially announced last year for fans to purchase via a Haslab crowdfunding campaign. The Haslab HeroQuest game features new art, premium miniature figures and exclusive quest books for an enhanced gameplay experience and increased collectability. The brand will be developed under Hasbro’s Avalon Hill label.
European-based gaming company Ludofilia formally renounced ownership of its HeroQuest European trademark and its tabletop game project will be rebranded, though the contents will remain unchanged. Ludofilia will now be offering fans who previously supported Ludofilia’s independent crowdfunding campaign the OPTION to receive Hasbro’s version of the game, Ludofilia's rebranded game, or both.
